Message There is a lot of lag time in new technology coming to this little corner of the car world. Always sucks hearing about something new and interesting and finding out no one makes anything like it for your car. But I think part of it, especially with advances in raw power output, is down in part to a difference in buyer and community. Starting with the entry price difference between a TT Z and a Turbo Supra. Power costs money and if you can drop $20-30,000 on a Supra you're probably more likely to spend the cash to make big power than if you pick up a Z for $10-$12,000. Most Supra owners I've met online and in the world seem to go into the car with the intention of doing a huge build whereas most Z owners I've known just bought it for fun and if they do build it up it's after owning it for a few years. And given that the primary thing Supras are known for is putting up big numbers on the dyno that's what the community tunes for and the suppliers market toward. I think I'm like a lot of Z owners in that I really don't care about big money peak horsepower numbers, which is what drives a lot of that advancement.
